This bacon date frisée salad is a super easy and quick restaurant-quality meal for two. It’s comprised of a sweet and savory jammy onion-date bacon vinaigrette. In just under 15 minutes, you can have a delicious salad where you’ll wish you had more!

If you’re not a huge fan of salads, then this is for you. The bacon elevates this dish. It’s addictively good. So good, it’s husband approved!
Just be careful not to over eat this. This dish is both caloric from the bacon grease and the dates. It’s hearty and very filling for what it is. This salad is a meal on it’s own.
Variations
Feel free to swap out the walnuts with pecans or sliced almonds.
Goat cheese can be swapped out with crumbled feta cheese.
Changing the ingredients will alter the taste, but it will be a different experience that’s equally tasty.
Removing bacon would drastically change this recipe therefore I do not recommend. You may use regular bacon, however keep an eye on the skillet so it doesn’t get too crispy. Thick-cut bacon is preferred.
If you want to cut back on bacon grease for health purposes, you can remove all but 1-2 tbs bacon grease and supplement with olive oil instead. I don’t see the benefit of doing that as you’re using more ingredients. It’s probably a little more heart healthy to do so.
